Hello everyone from Nightfall Games.
Thank you to everyone.
So as many of you know this has been a real rollercoaster. This Kickstarter has epitomised what a true crowd funded project is. We, (the project team and YOU) have made this happen. We have seen excitement, fun, anger, vitriol, disappointment, frustration, pride and joy along the way. Publically, we have received vocal attacks on ourselves and our integrity and shouts of support too, and many people have contacted us all directly to privately thank or chastise us too. New friendships have been forged on the back of this project both for the Nightfall team, but in the community groups and hopefully in real life too. We have seen the total destruction of a business, the relationships within it and the creation of a new one that has invested heavily to replace and fulfil the obligations of the first. You have all been privy to this (had you chose to stay in the loop) and no one can say this hasn't been compelling, can they?
Nightfall games has now shipped out approx.:
550 A5 rulebooks
500 A4 rulebooks
35 T shirts
40 boxes of scenery
Is this the end? - Hell no!
We have in the last year also paid off many of Daruma's debts, spent £1,000s on postage and packaging and commissioned new models (Dogeybone, Shiver Medic, DN, Sector Rangers, Cannibal Butchers, Jordy, Shaktars, 9th specific troops, Operatives in Powercell, 313 Stormers, Grits, Advanced Carrien, Critters, Carnivorous Pigs, Grunt, the Crawler etc.). We have also written a 364 page RPG book, an 80 page miniature game book, a 50 page 2nd edition RPG quickstart(thats free...50 pages of beautifully laid out text and all new art...and did I say it was free?)
Although, none of the money that you pledged went towards the things listed above, your support and our want to complete this project for you, has made this happen. We hope that the vast majority of you are happy with your pledge rewards and recognise and value the work and money that we (Shep, Mark, Dave and Jared) have put in to rescue this project from imminent failure.
While there is demand we hope to continue to commission new miniatures for this game (Alpha Carrien anyone?).
Tanya's excellent 'zine kickstarter will return with a new magazine in the next few months. If you missed the first one make sure you get on the next one. It's quite clearly a wonderful love letter to the world of SLA Industries.
And the 17th of September, (a month from now) we will be launching a Nightfall Games kickstarter for the 2nd edition of SLA Industries RPG.
The Last 35 and 7 before it!
We still have 35 people that have not responded to any update or direct email. Mark plans to email them again via KS messenger, so hopefully we will get a response. Either way their pledge is now made and awaiting their contact. If you are one of these people please comment below and we will get in touch.
The last 7 pledge responses to emails, (or the last update), will be picked and shipped in the next 10 days or so (you will get a shipping notification).
And finally, if you have a damage issue, please comment below 'DAMAGE ISSUE' or re-email email@example.com and he will work through a financially viable solution.
Thank you to all that supported Nightfall over the last 18 months. Those of you that gave us patience, kindness and trust are greatly appreciated by us all.
Jared, Mark, Dave and Shep

Hi to all from Nightfall!

The remaining have not responded to any of the previous updates, hence we will email them in two batches.
SLA Industries 2nd Ed RPG
Nightfall have announced that they will be launching the 2nd Edition of SLA Industries, here on Kickstarter on the 17th September.
This new version will move the timeline along from CS1 and will see an all new rule set.
We have also announced that free PDFs will be made available to convert both CS1 and Hunter Sheets 2 to be compatible with 2nd Edition.
We will be releasing a Quick Start PDF for 2nd Edition. This will be available from DriveThru and will be made available to those that sign up to our newsletter 48 hrs early. If you want to sign up you can do so here: Newsletter Sign up.
For those yet to let us know what they want:
So there is a lot of updates, but I will try and make it as condense as I can here:
There has been a lot of history to everything that has happened to this Kickstarter. Given that you have missed the last few updates, it is likely that you may have missed that. Suffice to say. 'Daruma Productions'. the company that ran this KS no longer exists, with them went ALL the money that was raised in this KS. In its place Nightfall Games (the IP owners of SLA Industries) has partnered with Word Forge Games (the casters of the miniatures) and between them they have funded the completion of the KS, including all models, postage, books. This has cost approximately £35k and 1000s of hours of unpaid work. As such some compromises needed to be made to fulfil this KS, this includes the fact that the Tshirt and 4 free models didn't happen (Necantrope, Vevaphon, Ex-War Criminal and Xenos Stormer), in their place we are supplying 5 other models.
1. If you want your pledge as we propose and are happy with us substituting as stated comment 'HIT ME'.
2. You want your Pledge with all 5 proposed models (Shiver Medic (KS Exclusive), Gert, Dee, Grunt and Clarence (KS exclusive)) swapped out - comment below 'MINI SWAP' and state what you want in their place from the list below.
3. We are also getting low on the bags (it seems many of them were lost/sold by Daruma, before we could salvage the stock). If you are happy to swap out the bag, let us know by commenting below 'BAG SWAP' and state what you want in their place from the list below.
We have limited resources (Mark's Saturday and or evenings), so this will take time.
We are at limited stock on the bag, it will be first come first get, if you want to swap it let us know below and we will send an equal value alternative.
Dream Entities were not made, in their place we will supply a Scav patrol. If you already have a Scav patrol, we will instead send an alternative patrol from the list below.
SLA Bags were sold by Daruma, before we got the stock. If you have one of these on order we will replace it with a Sector Ranger set from the below list.
Metal D20: we never got this from Daruma. In it's place we will include 6 'The 9th' Dice.
SLA Dice Bags were sold by Daruma, before we got the stock. If you have one of these on order we will replace it with an signed art piece.
We have had a very few parcels damaged in transit. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with photographic evidence. He will get back to you once we have fulfilled the KS or as soon as he can before that.
As said, our hope is that this will be the penultimate update we need to do for this project. Thanks to all that have supported this project, and although it didn't get there in the way it should it got there in the end. We know it has been frustrating and we know some people have been very, very angry, but now we see the light at the end of the tunnel and it is very bright. Here's to seeing SLA Industries back where it belongs.
